Challenge
Since 2016, 21south has been making significant progress. They have become a major player in the Netherlands and Flanders through their smart technological solutions and extensive network. In 2023, they have encountered the challenge that their communication efforts so far have been primarily focused on offline channels. Online communication has been underutilized or not utilized in an inspiring and informative manner. Therefore, our task is to start by revamping the corporate website. This involves redesigning the website's structure, crafting new web copy, and rebuilding the site. Additionally, the existing corporate identity could benefit from an upgrade. We aim to refresh, modularize, and professionalize the identity while retaining the logo for recognition purposes. This upgrade should cater to both prospective clients and potential new employees when they encounter 21south online.

Since 2016, 21south has been active in the Netherlands and Flanders as a strategic partner and rapidly growing service provider in the waste and environmental industry. Through its innovative software platform 21QUBZ, the company supports both commercial and government-led collectors and processors of valuable resources. 21south aids organizations in efficiently and effectively collecting and processing value streams. They achieve this through a combination of experienced and proactive consultants, a flexible and modern software platform, and a strong focus on reliable service throughout all stages: before, during, and after the implementation of the 21QUBZ platform. Working alongside its clients, 21south strives for a positive impact on businesses, municipalities, citizens, and the environment.


Solution
The website project and the rebranding of the corporate identity were tackled simultaneously. Our strategists took charge of defining goals and the structure of the new website. Our Art Director was tasked with giving 21south a fresh look and feel. By moving away from the orange-blue color palette and transitioning to a sustainable green-white palette, the corporate identity was swiftly brought up to date for 2023. A new set of on- and offline fonts, along with the use of versatile, modular style elements, completed the new corporate identity.

Web application
With the groundwork laid for the website and the new look and feel in place, the website was developed. It features a logical, user-friendly structure, excellent UX/UI, and ample opportunities for gaining information and making contact inquiries. In a subsequent phase, we also designed a trade show booth for 21south and assisted them with UX wireframes for their mobile Time Registration web application.
