We crafted a new story-to-tell, and based on design principles, we created a single design for two platforms. Brand update
Althen was seeking a refreshed design for their website to create an innovative appearance that would ultimately strengthen their position in the market. We assisted in refining their positioning, crafting a story-to-tell based on the existing identity, and developing a visually appealing design that aligns with the needs of both Althen and their customers. To establish the foundation for the design development, insights were gained through various models such as a customer journey map and empathy map, illustrating how different target audiences navigate online and identifying their needs and desires. The final design seamlessly aligns with Althen's story-to-tell and possesses a visually innovative appeal that suits the brand and customer needs.


Sensors & Controls
Althen is an internationally operating company with locations in both the Netherlands and Germany, offering sensors and controls. As they observed that both products appealed to different markets, Althen sought a solution to become experts in both fields. We then developed two websites for them using Craft: Althen Controls and Althen Sensors. The two domains share the same design and operate from the same system but have their own information, structure, and layout individually. Additionally, both sites have been made available online in 5 languages.

Product data import
To migrate the 1500 products in 5 different languages for both domains to the new websites, we mapped product data with a wealth of technical specifications to the new structure in the Craft CMS. The next challenge was to add a filter function allowing users to filter within categories of products. We then created a solution where product filters are automatically generated based on product information. These filters can be selected on each category page for the product overview. Additionally, we added a comparison function enabling users to compare products based on specific features.

Improving online marketing
Based on Althen's objectives to generate more traffic to their website and increase the number of prospects in the B2B market, we not only created two new websites with a strong visual identity but also optimized the SEO technical aspects of the website to enhance visibility. Additionally, we ensured that the data configuration foundation is robust and implemented a cookie bot, ensuring that the new sites comply with GDPR regulations for each language.
